A HAPPY New Year

...and a happy 2011 is will be for us as we expect the arrival of baby #2! We are so excited to have another little one and to see Caitrin as a big sister. (Due date: May 1st.) It has been so much fun to see Caitrin begin to understand that there is a baby in mommy's belly and to take her to doctors visits and such. She often hugs, kisses and pats the baby-- we just hope she'll be this sweet when the baby is demanding more of mommy and daddy's time.

Speaking of birthdays, Caitrin will be turning TWO on Monday (Jan. 3). We cannot believe how quickly time has passed and we could not be more proud of her. She is rather spunky and fun, so there is never a dull moment around our house. We are expecting a visit from Gmama and GBuzz (Brittany's mom and step-dad) to help ring in the new year and celebrate Caitrin's big day.

We should not neglect to mention the great joy we feel to have our alma mater, FSU, playing in the Chick-fil-A bowl this year! Years ago Brittany promised Tom that they would go to the bowl game if FSU ever went. Due to several factors, we will not be able to follow through with our deal, but will continue to route on our team in hopes they will go to the CFA bowl again soon. (To make this right, we will be eating Chick-fil-A while watching the game... That's about as good as actually going to the game, right?) GO NOLES!!!

Thanks for checking in and please check back soon. We will be rather excited to post more ultrasound pictures, pictures from Caitrin's birthday and updates about the FOCUS conference in Nashville (Jan. 28-30). Please pray for the 60+ students from UK who will be attending the conference. Also, please pray for Tom and Shaun (Brittany's brother) as they play music for the conferences in both Denver and Nashville.

May God bless you with a beautiful 2011 and may we never take for granted His goodness!

When I saw your blog pop up into my reader today, I had a gut feeling you would be sharing happy news. Sort of weird!
Anyway, many many congratulations to you all! What a wonderful blessing. You two are such great parents!
