Greetings from Champaign, IL! We are updating you from the St. John's Catholic Newman Center at the University of Illinois. It is truly a remarkable facility and is the perfect spot for FOCUS NST. (See www.sjcnc.org for more details.) St. john's provides a place to sleep, eat, workout, do laundry and pray... all under one roof. It is only day three, but things are off to a remarkable start. FOCUS is going to over a dozen new campuses this fall and has hired many new missionaries. It is such a blessing to share in this mission. God is not only using us to help give college students a great college experience, but truly a "vision for life." We are already seeing our students spiritually multiply. (One has even joined FOCUS staff!)
Caitrin is also enjoying her new surroundings, as she has many admirers here at NST. (Just imagine a room of almost 100 20-something year old women. Caitrin is not short of attention.) It is also exciting to see the vocational growth within FOCUS. This year alone, between current and alumni staff, there were over 40 engagements! Isn't that incredible? There were also many FOCUS babies born this year.
I'm sure we'll have more to update you on later as we go through more training and as we get settled in a little bit more. Please pray for us during this time. We are so grateful to serve the Kingdom and are thankful for those of you on our support team who have chosen to serve with us. Your prayers and financial support are a magnificent witness and are allowing us to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. "How great is our God!" Blessings on you and your families!
