April is almost over! It's truly hard to believe that not only is spring coming to a quick end, but so is our first year with FOCUS. Students are prepping for exams and starting to pack up to head home for the summer. We, on the other hand, are getting ready to pack up for summer training. We will be at the University of Illinois for 5 weeks this summer before heading to Florida to work on our Mission Partner Development (fundraising).
We recently made the long haul down to Tallahassee for a friends wedding (Congrats to Sarah and Chris!) and we were so excited to finally let so many of our dear friends meet little Caitrin. It was a very busy trip, but one filled with great joy. It's funny how sometimes you don't realize just how much you miss someone until you are with them again. We really miss our college friends (and families) and love every opportunity we have to visit with them. On a similar note: CONGRATS to Erin and Joe who recently become engaged and CONGRATS to Mike and Kevin who were recently ordained to the deaconate. It's so exciting to see our dear friends enter into their vocations! (Pictured above: Caitrin spent some time swinging in the backyard with "Grandma Fackender" while we were in Tallahassee... it was a beautiful spring day!)
