Things on campus are really busy, but we're really blessed! Tom had his first Bible study this week and it went really well. He has a truly awesome bunch of young men that he will be meeting with on a weekly basis. (He has two Bible studies each week with two different groups of guys.) It seems like there is something to do on campus just about every day, but we're really enjoying it.
As some of you know, Tom recently fractured a small bone in his left foot while hiking with some students in the North Carolina mountains. While being in "the boot" has not been fun, it has been a simple reminder to us to slow down a little bit. So with Tom in the boot, the camping trip that was planned to take place last night was not a possibility so we decided to take advantage of a "night off" and go register for our little one.
Several days before, we enjoyed registering at Abby's Lane (http://www.abbyslane.com/registry.php?rgid=891&rguser=brittany) from the privacy of our own home. I made a list of products we will need for cloth diapering (more to come on that in another post) and had two of my cloth diapering friends check it out. After some great input from Andrea and Joy, we made our registry! Babies-R-Us, on the other hand, was a little bit of a different story.
Before going to Babies-R-Us, Tom had asked if we could stop on the new Sears Outlet (just next door) and check it out. I agreed, but asked to go to BRU first (just to get it "out of the way"). Well, who knew that it would take us almost three hours to register and Sears would be closed!?! At 8:55pm I began to briskly make my way through the last aisles as to avoid being locked in. Upon returning the registry "gun" (as Tom likes to call it) we found out that they actually didn't close until 9:30pm! DARN!
Nonetheless, we are now registered for most everything we could ever want for our little one (Babies-R-Us Registry)! It has been really fun for me (Brittany) to do research on all the baby gear (though I left the stroller and car seat selection to Tom) and the do's and don'ts of parenting. It has also been fun to get all sorts of mommy tips from friends of ours who have kids. A few things we've been shown or told about that we're really excited about:

Pottery Barn Baby (We love it all! Thankfully we have a Pottery Barn outlet store just down the road where we were already able to purchase some bedding.)
As we are now 25 weeks along we are growing daily in anticipation! I can not only feel the baby becoming increasingly active, but it has been a true joy that we can both SEE the baby move! We had no idea just how cool it would be to watch the baby (and definitely far more entertaining than anything on TV).

By the way, thatnks for creating a blog. It lets me keep up on all the Tom and Brittany fun. Oh and my goal now is to be the one person who comments about everthing. That is until the blog owners block me.
